How the Stage Assessment Works

The Stage Assessment uses an automated system to compare your answers against the five-stage progression described in COMPOUND. No person reviews your individual answers before you see your result.

What it is

A reflection tool. It is designed to give you language for where you are right now and a starting point for your own thinking, your own prayer, and your own conversations.

What it is not

It is not a psychological, medical, or therapeutic assessment, and it does not diagnose any condition. It is not financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. It is not a substitute for a licensed professional or for pastoral care. No result here determines your eligibility for anything, and nothing you receive from this app is used to make a decision about you that carries legal or financial consequences.

Accuracy

Automated systems make mistakes. Your result reflects the answers you gave on the day you gave them, and honest answers on a hard day can produce a different result than the same questions on an easier one. You are free to disagree with your result, retake the assessment, or disregard it entirely.

Your answers

Your individual answers are stored in your account when you complete the assessment. They are visible to you, to your spouse if your accounts are linked, and to app administrators for support purposes. They are not shared with any third party.

Your answers are not used to train or improve any model. The assessment uses a fixed scoring algorithm that compares your responses to the five-stage framework in COMPOUND. No machine learning is involved.

Your answers are kept until you delete them. There is no automatic expiration. You can delete your assessment history below.
